+ By Allen Meadows Jan-21, Issue #81, 89-91 points (Domaine Berthaut-Gerbet Gevrey-Chambertin "Combe de Dessus" Villages Red) Once again there is excellent freshness to the very pretty mix of upper and lower register pinot fruit with pungent earth, humus and subtle floral wisps. The succulent and again utterly delicious medium weight flavors possess lovely definition while delivering excellent length on the markedly firm and youthfully austere finale. This is a relatively big Gevrey villages that will require at least a decade of aging to be at its best. Lovely. (Drink starting 2029)
