Summary

+
48% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Grenache, 12% Syrah This unusual and completely unique wine is a special project of winemaker, Pierre Graffeuille, director of Domaines Delon, which includes the iconic estates of Château Leoville-Las Cases, Clos du Marquis, and Château Nenin. Made with a combination of fruit from two wildly different geographic locations in France: Cabernet Sauvignon from slopes of deep gravel in the Graves du Médoc between Margaux, Saint Julien, Pauillac and St Estéphe with Grenache and Syrah from the pebbly, clay limestone soils of the Terrasses du Rhône between Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Gigondas. The power and tautness of Médoc Cabernets paired with the elegance and tastiness of Rhône Grenaches makes for a perfect match. Well balanced and ripe yet fresh, both powerful and elegant offering smoothness along with intensity. In the palate tannins are present but very silky. The wine is refreshing, with no signs of heaviness or over-ripeness.
